The UltraClient is ideal for multimedia applications such as signage, advertising and Voice Over IP. The UltraClient provides sufficient processing power to replace traditional desktop computers for applications where desktops are either too big, too bulky or consume too much energy. The UltraClient operates at 1.2 Ghz and features hardware MPEG 2 / MPEG 4 / WMV9 acceleration up to 1920 x 1440 resolution. The UltraClient is the ideal diskless workstation and is a very cost effective solution for deploying low cost desktops.

Like all NorhTec products, the UltraClient is built using industrial grade components. The UltraClient can operate without air conditioning and is designed for 24 x 7 operation.

The UltraClient comes in two versions, one that has an optical drive (DVD or DVD writer) and another that does not. The UltraClient is fully compatible with almost all x86 based operating systems and applications.  The UltraClient is particularly well suited for multimedia applications such as home theater PC or streaming advertising.

The UltraClient comes standard with 160 GB hard disk and 512 MB RAM.

Units with 1 GB RAM are now available. The price is $40 more than the 512 MB models.
