NorhTec has focused on eliminating these barriers offering smaller, more inexpensive, energy efficient computers that will work in almost any environment. The MicroClient JrSX is a preview of the next generation of computers.
More and more, computers are becoming peripherals to the network. More and more devices are being connected to the network. An inexpensive computer with RAM, RS232 ports, GPIO and USB 2.0, provides the link needed to webify existing analog technology. Security systems, access control systems, and other sensors can now be easily and affordably connected to the Internet. It is possible to use WIFI or Bluetooth to link existing peripherals to the Internet or to a local area network using the low-cost MicroClient JrSX. The
VESA® FDMI™ Standard defines mounting interfaces, hole
patterns and associated cable/power supply locations for LCD monitors,
plasma displays and other flat panel devices. MicroClient JrSX is
designed to fit this standard to make monitor attachment quick and easy.
Mounting the unit to an LCD is easy The MicroClient JrSX offers limited computing performance which in many applications is actually a benefit. The Vortex86SX System on Chip, consumes only 0.9 watts at 300 Mhz and 0.2 watts at 66Mhz. NorhTec can custom design solutions which work with battery backup or even custom design a complete solution for large quantity orders.
