The MicroClient JrMX is the newest generation of our popular MicroClient series. The MicroClient JrMX is the first small form factor client to use the Xcore86+ or the Xcore86 "Device on Chip". This is the same device found in the famous Gecko EduBook and Gecko Surfboard. The Xcore86+ is a complete computer motherboard on a single chip. The MicroClient JrMX brings many enhancements over the long popular MicroClient Jr. which are listed below in the table.

The MicroClient JrMX is a dramatic increase in performance, features and options over the MicroClient Jr it replaces. Xcore86+ has set up a community site to support the Xcore86+ at www.deviceonchip.com. Microsoft Windows, Embedded Windows and Windows XP embedded applications should run without modification. Moving Linux applications should be straightforward.

The MicroClient JrMX is a revolutionary device that is especially designed for installations having limited physical space and temperature concerns. It does not matter if you are in a jammed office, a crowded place, or public transportation - it can be easily integrated with a VESA LCD to bring you computer access at any time.

It can attach to any VESA mounting fixture, allowing it to be securely mounted onto desks,  room walls, or buildings, and thereby optimizing your work area. It can also attach directly to LCDs of any size to create a mobile system for the use at trade shows, presentations, promotions, etc. Unlike the traditional laptop design, the MicroClient JrMX. can be used with a large size LCD. Furthermore, with FANLESS design, MicroClient JrMX. is ideal for use in hot climates without air conditioning.

The MicroClient JrMX comes in mutiple configurations. All combinations of WiFi, RS232 and internal hard disks are possible, unlike previous generation models. All units come with a SD (Secure Digital) slot, and the unit can boot from a SD card directly.

Base units do not include any software. Prices exclude shipping. Keyboards / mice are not provided. Any PS/2 or USB keyboard and mouse is compatible with all of our systems.

Attention: There are two options for how the JrMX powers up.  For typical PC applications, customers will want the JrMX to power up only when the reset button is pushed.  However, for embedded or 24 hour per day applications, customers will prefer the auto power on feature. This version does not have a reset switch and will always reboot whenever power is restored. Both versions are equally priced, so please mention which version you want when you order.
