NorhTec has developed a range of small, energy efficient and fanless clients and servers that serve as building blocks to create highly modular network computing solutions. The MicroClient Jr. is the most cost effective device NorhTec has ever produced. The MicroClient Jr. is a fully integrated x86 class computer. The MicroClient Jr. allows existing Windows applications to be deployed using MicroSoft's XP Embedded. NorhTec can also deploy applications using other popular x86 operating systems such as Linux, BSD, Windows CE, or QNX.

The VESA® FDMI™ Standard defines mounting interfaces, hole patterns and associated cable/power supply locations for LCD monitors, plasma displays and other flat panel devices. MicroClient Jr. is designed to fit this standard to make monitor attachment quick and easy.

NorhTec was founded based on the idea that the next wave of computing will occur when computers are small enough, energy efficient enough and durable enough that they can be deployed anywhere. NorhTec believed that the most logical way for the next generation of computing to occur was to make it possible to deploy existing x86 applications.
