The MicroServer PE (Personal Edition) is similar to the GP, except that it features a built in screen and programmable buttons. This makes it a great portable personal productivity tool. The MicroServer PE is designed to put datacenter server functionality in a form factor that is small enough to meet highly mobile applications where interactive display and input is required. It is a full-fledged multimedia computer in a palmtop form-factor.

Today, professionals carry a variety of tools to get their work done. The NorhTec MicroServer PE will allow users to run their standard applications on a form factor that is closer to a PDA than a laptop. The Personal Server runs existing x86 applications without modification. Instead of forcing customers to use expensive proprietary peripherals, the NorhTec Microserver uses standard periphrials.

The PE is still under development. The features and specificiations are not finalized yet.

The PE can be configured with a solid state hard disk or a 2.5" quiet hard drive. The retail price will not include installation / customization of any software.
